On Monday 20th November 2023, we said our final goodbyes to our beloved Auntie Melissa as she was laid to rest following her incredibly brave battle with cancer. 

Melissa was a keen runner, completing the Colchester half marathon in 2017, along with many other 5k and 10k races - including a Prosecco 5k run! When her health worsened, Melissa enjoyed walks with family and friends as an alternative to running.

As Melissa sadly passed away just short of her 50th birthday, her nieces and nephew, Sarah, Joanne, James and Rebecca are taking up the challenge of running/jogging/walking 50km in the month of December in her memory. This will be to raise money for St Helena Hospice, her chosen charity for donations.

St Helena Hospice helps local people in North Essex face incurable illness and bereavement.
