Story
I’m doing a fundraiser and would love your support! I’m not quite running, but walking a marathon in one day in July!
I’m taking on a 42km trek along a remote section of the South Downs National Trail, from Eastbourne to Brighton, on 20th July. With some pretty spectacular (and challenging!) coastal cliff top ascents it will be no easy feat! Talking of feet, they are already quite scared at the prospect and need to get practising!
A group of us at Whistles are doing it in partnership with Trekstock, a charity that Whistles has supported for a long time. Trekstock is an incredible charity headed up inspirational founder, Sophie Epstone. It is the only charity that offers tailored support to young people with cancer in their 20s and 30s. You can read more about the great work they do at the bottom of this page.
I would HUGELY appreciate it if you would support me in this challenge and donate what you can to a truly great cause!
A message from Trekstock
At Trekstock we dont save lives by raising money for research. We change lives by empowering those in their 20s or 30s to live their best life with and beyond cancer.
34 people in their 20s and 30s are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK. Whatever type, whatever stage, we help them make sense of life after a cancer diagnosis. Our aim is to provide reliable, evidence-based support to more of the 14,600 (and rising) young people diagnosed every year in the UK.
The money you will raise will help us help them stay active, meet others and get support on the big issues theyre facing. A big thank you.
