Story
This September, we're thrilled to host the 'Melbourne Bake Off' to raise funds for the MS Trust, a charity dedicated to supporting those affected by multiple sclerosis (MS). This cause is especially close to our hearts because of my special friend Claire Barker. Claire was diagnosed with MS 10 years ago after experiencing significant stress and physical symptoms. Since then, she has found immense support from the MS Trust, attending their centre in Derby. Unfortunately, due to funding issues, this centre is now privatised, highlighting the crucial need for continued fundraising.
Claire has shared how the MS Trust has been a huge support for her, providing essential information on everything from the latest medications to self-care strategies. Claire herself is a beacon of positivity in our community, managing Melbourne Community Care and uplifting those in need. We are inspired by her strength and want to support her and others living with MS in the community.
Join us for this special event to enjoy a wonderful time with friends and family while making a significant impact. Every donation, no matter how small, helps the MS Trust continue their vital work. Together, we can ensure that no one faces MS alone.
We are holding a Melbourne Bake Off competition, so if you would like to donate an entry, our categories are:
1. Most creative
2. Best flavour
3. Best cupcake
Claire is our chief judge and we are looking for two other judges. Get in touch at hello@lemonandblack.co.uk, to either submit a cake entry or apply to be a judge!
