Story
Hi all,
Soooo I'm doing a skydive in less than 4 weeks and every time I think about it my hands sweat and I get a sudden realization that I will be soon jumping out of a plane!!!!!
I'm raising money for Girls Out Loud...who's umbrella charity is Forever Manchester.
Soooo Girls out loud.....do you remember as a teenager all of the difficult decisions you had to make, what GCSE's, university or an apprenticeship...then dealing with puberty and loads of other life stuff!!
Not to mention magazines with pictures of stick thin women....and now teenagers have got even more to worry about.....social media, a culture where self harm is the norm...1 in 4 girls will self harm before they leave school! Teenagers are dealing with eating disorders, teen pregnancies, body dysmorphia and more!!
Girls out loud make a difference to teenage girls throughout the UK, they facilitate an intervention programme and they have a Big Sister programme- this is where they have a big sister to help them along their way, the big sister acts as a positive female role model, helping teenage girls with their confidence, self esteem and life decisions. If you want to read about them I will drop the link below.
(by the way that isnt me in the picture- i just googled skydiving pictures)
