Story
This year I have the honour of becoming Club Captain at my second home, The Monmouthshire Golf Club in Abergavenny and my chosen charity, as always, is Asthma and Lung UK. I will be 74 at the time of the ride and I am an asthma sufferer myself.
With my son Bradley Sussex, son-in-law Mark Edwards, brother-in-law Paul Blowers and nephew Sam Blowers, we plan to cycle approximately 240 miles from Abergavenny to Camborne.
This is in memory of my wonderful grandson Gavin, who sadly passed away after an asthma attack at home in Camborne, aged just 17. I particularly want to raise money for all children who suffer from this debilitating condition.
1 in 5 of us will develop a lung condition during our lifetime. There's a new diagnosis every minute.
I'm fundraising for Asthma + Lung UK. They’re the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
I'd be very grateful for any donations you could make, however large or small!
Thanks in advance
Mel
