Here we go again… again.

Having completed a trek through Cuba in 2022 and Vietnam in 2025 I will now be taking on the foothills of the Atlas Mountains of Morocco in 2027.

My mum, Karyn, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014 and was treated with surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, targeted drug therapy and complementary therapies. She now has no evidence of the disease and has not long finished 10 long years of hormone therapy.

Funds raised for Velindre go towards a multitude of things. From the latest treatments, research and clinical trials to extra patient support such as wig vouchers and headscarves to those losing their hair during treatment and holistic treatments.

Funds raised for the charity not only benefit patients but also their friends and family such as supportive care teams and children’s resources for families such as educational story books and lion teddies.
