Story
Hi, my name is Megan and I am 18 years old. I have a rare blood disorder called Diamond Blackfan Anaemia Syndrome (DBAS) which affects 5 to 7 people per million live births. Many people with this condition rely on blood transfusions, steroids, or a bonemarrow transplant. In my case, I am transfusion dependent and suffer from low energy levels and low moods when I am symptomatic. This charity supports families who suffer from DBAS through conferences, family events, awareness, and research. On the 11th-12th August, I will be cycling from the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford to Addenbrooke's in Cambridge with my dad and uncle. Please give what you can to this amazing charity.
