Story

Hiya,

We’re Megan and Jake, and on 27th of April, we’ll be taking on the Glasgow Kiltwalk – all 23 miles from Glasgow Green to Balloch – to raise money for the Scottish Huntington’s Association (SHA).

This cause is incredibly close to our hearts, especially for Jake and his family. Huntington’s disease is a rare, inherited condition that causes the progressive breakdown of nerve cells in the brain. It affects movement, thinking, and emotions, and sadly, there is no cure. Jake’s family has been deeply impacted by this disease, and sadly lost his stepdad last year.

Throughout it all, SHA has been an incredible support system. Providing care, guidance, and hope to families navigating this devastating illness. Now, we want to give back.

In memory of Jakes step dad Alan and in support of his brother, Robbie, and all those affected by Huntington’s, we would like to raise as much as we can for SHA who relies on donations to continue their vital work, offering specialist support, advocacy, and funding crucial research.

If you can, please donate as every penny makes a difference. And if you can’t donate, a share or a message of encouragement means the world to us!

Thank you for your support 💙
