Story
On 13th April 2025 I will be running the Paris Marathon for the Huntington’s Disease Association.
I will be doing this in memory of my grandpa who lost his battle with Huntington’s Disease at aged 70 almost exactly 2 years to the day when I run. Still feels strange to say that he isn’t here💔
Huntington’s Disease is a complex illness caused by a faulty gene in your DNA. There is a 50/50 chance of inheriting HD from a gene-positive parent. It affects people in many different ways but the 3 main areas are involuntary movement (chorea), cognition and behaviour. There is currently no cure for HD
This charity means a lot to me and my family and I just want to do anything I can to raise money for them so that families facing HD can access the much needed support that the HDA have to offer.
I did the Leicester Half Marathon 2023 and found that hard so here’s to starting all that training again times 2!
Any donations are greatly appreciated💖💚
