Story

I am raising money on behalf of Project Trust's VolunYEARS Challenge'. My challenge is to 'Hike the 7 Hills of Edinburgh' with my good friends and fellow PT Returned Volunteers. The hike will is 27km long with over 700m of climbing- and we aim to complete it in half a day.

At 18 years old, Project Trust provided me with an opportunity which completely spring-boarded my life onto a different trajectory. My year in Ghana as a Volunteer gave me my sense of adventure, taught me so much about myself and the world, and was for certain that 'fire in the belly' moment that made me realise I wanted to do good things in my life. I am fundraising for them because without our support, this amazing organisation may not survive the aftermath of the pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis.

Please help me in safeguarding Project Trust's future for the next generation of Volunteers. I will be extremely grateful for any donations.

Thank you!

RCN SC025668
Project Trust is a Scottish-registered educational charity providing young people in the UK and Europe with international volunteering experiences. Project Trust Volunteers are based in projects in Africa, Asia or Latin America for 12 or 8 months supporting teaching or youth development work. Empowering global citizens Project Trust’s aim is to empower generations of young people to act as responsible and active global citizens. We support ethical, long-term volunteering experiences which enable the Volunteers to make a meaningful contribution to their host community whilst building knowledge, skills and cultural intelligence. Project Trust works with a small group of Volunteers each year, allowing the staff team to know each individual’s skills and interests. This allows us to place Volunteers in projects where they can get the most out of the experience and enables our staff to provide tailored support to each young person. Project Trust strives to be open to all young people with the desire, motivation and aptitude required to benefit from a long-term, ethical, volunteering placement
