Story
Mayflower Archers is holding a 24-hour shoot in order to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
After blacking out at work, Joseph (Joe), aged 32, was diagnosed with a brain tumour, about the size of a golf ball. Following surgery, he is now fit enough for the next stage, concurrent radiotherapy, and chemotherapy. A keen archer in his youth, Joe wants to pick up his longbow again, and get back to online gaming, cooking, and working.
MacMillan provided valuable support and guidance at a time when Joe was deteriorating rapidly. Through the MacMillan support line, Joe and his family were provided with practical advice to enable engagement with oncology nurses and adjust his severe medication regime.Your contribution will help those living with cancer. This may be through financial support, provision of an oncology nurse, providing emotional support, and much more.
