Stephanie's fundraiser for UMass Memorial Health

Boston Marathon · 21 April 2025
Hi! I'm Stephanie, a physician assistant and system leader in quality and patient safety at Umass Memorial Health. This year, I am honored to combine my passion for healthcare and community service by running the Boston Marathon to Support the Umass Memorial Deployable Medical Team (DMT)
The UMass Memorial DMT is one of only two disaster medical teams in the State, specifically designed to provide advanced medical care during a catastrophic event in Massachusetts. The hospital hosted team is fully managed by UMass but is “on call” by order of the Governor to respond to events in our state and to be present to our neighbors in times of crisis.
This journey is deeply personal for me. Runing the marathon represents resilience, determination, and the power of coming together for a greater cause. It's not just about crossing the finish line -It's about making a difference in the lives of those who face unimaginable challenges during disasters.
Every dollar I raise will directly support equipping, training, and preparing our UMass Memorial DMT for the day when we are called upon to be the first, last, and best line of defense against disaster.
