Hello, our names are Annie and Ava. We are the current volunteers at Mayamiko Child Care Centre, an emergency shelter for vulnerable children aged 10 months to 13 years old.

We're looking for your support to help fund a lake trip that will create lasting memories for all the children at Mayamiko this coming April. We are aiming to raise £1200 which allows for our current 30 in house children to go as well as 6 adults. Due to Malawi's rising living costs this trip has been delayed in recent years, however we are hoping for all your support to help us reach this goal.

This trip would allow the children to take a much needed holiday at Lake Malawi during the easter holidays, and splash by the water…

The cost per person is roughly £33 pounds, this covers transport, food, activities and accommodation for 2 nights and 3 days

Mayamiko Child Care Centre is a home-based service in Limbe, Blantyre. It works alongside the Ministry of Social Welfare to remove children from vulnerable situations and place them in Mayamiko's safety until the possibility of rehoming becomes available through adoption, independent living, or regulated family members.

We believe that every child deserves a chance to reach their full potential, regardless of their background or circumstances. Mayamiko offers a range of programs designed to meet the unique needs of the community, including education, healthcare, and vocational training.
