We are joining up with Caring Together this Christmas to help ease the load for local carers, for whom Christmas can be a particularly challenging time.

For unpaid carers there are no days off, no sick leave. Many unpaid carers wash and dress their loved one, cook for them and feed them, help them go to the toilet and clean up after them. It can be relentless. Many carers have not left school, caring for a parent or sibling; a huge responsibility for such young people. Christmas adds extra pressures on such families.

Every Christmas period Caring Together provide emergency home support to families in crisis, when core support services are unavailable. Caring Together need funds to provide this essential support.

Given the increasing need this year they expect to need a further £3,000 to provide the same essential support for 25 families. Can you help us get the money to ensure they can provide that support?

We appreciate that times are tough for everyone right now, but for some, it is particularly tough, so whatever you donate will truly make a difference to carers this Christmas.
