Story
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.
In June 2024, Max went to A&E where they found a malignant glioma tumour, a form of brain cancer with very low survivability, even in the short term. Since his diagnosis, Max had a deep desire to raise awareness about the condition and the lack of funding for research.
It was so important to Max to spend all his remaining time on Earth focused on fundraising, raising awareness, and helping research progress for this awful condition.
Despite the devastating impact of his diagnosis, Max dedicated his time to sharing the real story of living with a terminal illness and how we can change the future of brain cancer research.
Please feel free to follow his account on instagram @maxvardybraincancer. We want to continue raising awareness of this condition, improve the quality of care and ultimately find a cure.
