On 15th March 2024, it was exactly 10 years since my grandad, Geoff Foster died of oesophageal cancer. To mark this anniversary I have decided to do a sponsored walk in aid of Macmillan. I set off from Land’s End on 22nd April, with the aim of completing a solo walk to John O’Groats by the end of June, a distance of about 1,250 miles if I don’t take any wrong turns. I plan to camp most of the way so will be carrying about 18kg of equipment and provisions based on my Coast to Coast warm-up last year. I will update my progress regularly on this page and anybody who fancies joining me for a leg or two will be more than welcome. My current plan is to connect the following trails together:
