Story
Earlier in the year I did the 'Couch to 5k' running programme as a way to get into better shape. After having completed it I decided to take on a bigger challenge to push myself, the Fulham & Parsons Green 10km run felt like the perfect opportunity. I then saw that the main charity partner for the event was CW+ and it felt like it was meant to be...
My son, Miles, was born prematurely at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital in 2021. He spent the first 8 weeks of his life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Since leaving the hospital he has at various points been under the care of 6 (I think!) different departments of the hospital, with only 1 remaining. The care he has received has been first class and truly life changing. He's now a thriving 3 year old who loves chocolate biscuits, Spiderman, his cars, and he's counting the days until he can start school.
CW+ are currently fundraising for "Thirty at Thirty", with the ambitious aim to raise £30m to celebrate the 30th birthday of the hospital. It would be great to be able to support them in this!
