As my birthday, June 24th, is also the Feast Day of St. John The Baptist, it seems appropriate to ask for donations in support of the St. John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital. With the support of the Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem and charitable donations from generous individuals around the world, the St. John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group provides internationally recognized, award-winning, and life-changing eye care services to those in the region regardless of ethnicity, religion, or their ability to pay. While this charitable institution has worked in the area for more than a century, the current war in Gaza has caused a severe demand for emergency eye care services for those of whom, through no fault of their own, have become casualties of the conflict.
