Story
My dad, Andrew, has been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), a progressive and debilitating condition that affects the nerves in the brain and spinal cord, gradually robbing individuals of their ability to move, speak, and even breathe.
Andrews unwavering courage and determination in the face of this relentless disease and the inevitable challenges he has to face in the future has shown me the true meaning of strength and courage.
In honour of my dad and the countless others affected by MND, I’ve decided to take action. I’m lacing up my running shoes and hitting the pavement to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA). On Saturday 14th September I will be running 50km along the Thames Path, from Putney to Runnymede.
This incredible organisation provides vital support to individuals living with MND, funds groundbreaking research to better understand the disease, and tirelessly advocates for improved care and treatments. By supporting my fundraising efforts, you’ll be making a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by MND. Your generous donation will fund essential services like specialised equipment, home adaptations, and emotional support for individuals and families facing the challenges of MND every day.
Together, we can make a difference. Whether you’re able to contribute financially or simply help spread the word about our cause, your support is invaluable. Join me in the fight against MND and let’s bring hope to those who need it most and to one day find a cure.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support and generosity.
