Story
As many of you know I am a keen runner, when I first started running I raised money for various charities but in more recent years I have kept to local events to increase my Marathon tally which now stands at 70+ official marathons.
After a difficult start to the year for my family, I have set myself my biggest challenge yet of running 7 marathons in 7 days to raise money for WAY.
On 31st December 2022 my brother‐in‐law Clax (Aaron Claxton) suddenly passed away after a short time in ICU. Leaving our family devasted.
Clax's Wife Nicky and Daughter Hope have been supported so well by the fantastic charity called Widowed And Young (WAY) as they try to rebuild their lives. As such I thought this should be the year that I try and push myself to my physical limits and raise some money for WAY.
The challenge will start on the 22nd July and is organised by ZigZag running, with the event being called the Great Barrow Challenge https://www.zigzagrunning.co.uk/event-details/the-great-barrow-challenge-10-in-10.
