We raise funds for homeless young people to transform their lives through running

Story

I haven't seen that much of the UK so I thought, why not run from one end of the country to the other...

-John o'Groats (Scotland) to Lands End (Cornwall)

-30 Days

-908 miles

-49,000 Feet of Elevation

On June the 7th I'll be running from John o'Groats (Scotland) to Lands End (Cornwall), aiming to complete the challenge in 30 days.

Each day will range from 27 to 38 miles of running, walking and crawling to each of my mapped out checkpoints. Most evenings will consist of sleeping in campsites, out in the wilderness with my one man tent. So hoping the weather doesn't mug me off and any mad farm animals don't want to scrap (cows and sheep scare me).

No doubt there's going to be some tough days but this adventure will also be filled with plenty of amazing moments. Let's hope the many coffee stops, cinnamon buns and supermarket meal deals will keep me powered up until that Lands End signpost.

I've also chosen to raise money for The Running Charity, who are an independent charity that harness the power of running to support young people who are experiencing homelessness or managing complex needs.

The Running Charity believes that running is as good for your mind as it is for your body. Running builds resilience and self-esteem, and they use this to improve the lives of 16-25 year-olds who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Homelessness can happen at any time and to anyone, when it happens to a young person it can affect them for the rest of their life.

The charity uses running to improve fitness and install a goal-setting mentality that are key tools in helping vulnerable young people to build healthy, sustainable futures.

Running is a huge part of my life and it's something that has such a positive impact on my physical and mental health. Therefore I couldn't be more happier to try and raise money for this amazing Charity.

WHO'S GONNA CARRY THE BOATS AND THE LOGS!!

June 7th lets do this!
