Story
I have lost my brother - Kevin McSwiggan to mental health and just recently another best friend - Ally Wright to cancer. Both so young leaving behind their children, parents, brothers, and very close friends.
I keep strong, keep myself busy, talk to people, have a cry now and again and of course climb mountains, abseil down buildings, take on marathons and I now want to throw myself out of a plane.......... to continue to raise money for this amazing charity and keep Kev and Ally's name in lights! (These two were like peas and carrots, always together!)
About Edwards Trust..........
Unless someone has experienced acute loss, it is difficult to express in words what it means. Commonly, people say "I cannot imagine my child dying", or "why would someone do that to my Daddy?".
For the families of Edward's Trust, they don't have to imagine it. Every morning they wake up to a terrible reality - a nightmare that is played over and over again.
Out of such experiences, Edward's Trust was born. Named after Edward Dent, just seven and a half years old when he died on 29 July 1998, our charity has been offering hope to bereaved parents, children and young people for 35 years.
Edward's Trust provides qualified counselling and holistic support for complex or prolonged grief. We do not set time limits and the service is completely free.
We rely on donations to keep our vital service going.
Thank you for supporting me as I jump to raise money for Edward's Trust!
