Story
As a school we have supported Doddie Aid for a number of years, trying our hardest with our children to raise awareness of Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Everyday, 6 people in the UK die from this terrible disease and along with our children, we want to make a difference and hopefully play our part in finding a cure for Motor Neurone Disease.
This month into February, we as a community at Cantref Primary School will attempt to cover 7500 miles collectively. On the last two days we will then take on an extra challenge of covering 750 miles in 24 hours. This will consist of 350 miles on a bike, 250 miles running and 150 miles of rowing. All of these events will be hugely challenging for our children and staff and we will be relying on our community to support us through this time.
Myself (Matt Davies- Deputy Headteacher) and Mr.Brunsdon (Headteacher) will be covering at least 7.5 miles each day, to show our support for this great cause, as we lead into our final 24 hour Challenge. We invite the rest of our community to join us in support. In return all we ask for is a donation to our page, any donation of any size would be hugely appreciated. Seriously, every penny counts!
Together, we can make a difference!!
