Millions of people wake up with arthritis every morning and face the day in pain, my Mum is one of them and since 2011 I have been too. I am one of the lucky ones where medication is working really well to slow the progress of the arthritis but that comes at a cost ... it suppresses my immunity so that put me on the shielding list during covid.

During 2023 I've been re-gaining some of my lost fitness and worked with a personal trainer as well as taking part in my local park run and a couple of 10k events.

Re-homing Paddy (a giant but lovable puppy) during 2023 has also been a great incentive to get back out (in all weathers) walking and as we start 2024 he's now old enough for us to try Canicross.
