This one’s for my Sister - Sadly the money raised will not change her prognosis BUT could help future generations!
Emily’s story - Back in 2018 my amazing sister (aged just 36) was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer.
Following multiple operations, lots of different types of chemotherapy, radiotherapy along with other treatments the cancer sadly spread to her lungs and was classed as stage 4 cancer.
Despite living with cancer, Emily has a thirst for living life to the max! She is one of the most positive people I know - always giving and thinking of others. She is an amazing Mum to her two children, Charlie (14) and Ella (11), a wonderful friend to many and a sister that I am unbelievably proud of - she truly is an inspiration to all!
On Saturday 20th April, Ella plus Florence and Ollie will be running the mini marathon (2.6k) - health permitting Emily will be running with them too!
Then on Sunday, I will be running the 26.2m for my legend of a sister - I am undercooked in terms of training, but no matter how painful it is, I know it’s not a patch on the genuine pain she lives with day in and day out.
Bowel Cancer is the 4th most common form of Cancer - Bowel Cancer UK is the leading bowel cancer charity. They fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.
Please support this amazing charity and donate if you can!
Massive thanks,
Matt, Ella, Florence and Ollie
