On May 18th I'll be travelling to Nakuru, Kenya for two weeks and volunteering to help vulnerable children in one of the most deprived areas in Nakuru. This trip will involve building new facilities for schools such as, new toilets, kitchens, playgrounds, and classrooms, along with improving the sanitation of all areas. There is no government funding for these schools, therefore they rely solely on donations from charities such as the Derby County Community Trust.

Funds raised will pay for building materials, clothing for children, clean water etc.

As part of my fundraising, I will be taking part in a fire walk putting myself out of my comfort zone, on the evening of November 16th at Pride Park Stadium. Feel free to come along and cheer everyone on.

The poverty these families live in is severe, meaning any donation, no matter how small, will have a massive impact.
