Matt's fundraiser for Little Princess Trust

Getting the snip · 31 May 2024
The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions such as Alopecia.
The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.
The Little Princess Trust relies solely on the generosity of its wonderful supporters who help the charity give Hair and Hope to so many children and young people with cancer each year. For the last 2 years I’ve been growing my hair for this brilliant charity and it is time, not so sadly, to see it go. My hair has done some serious travelling including: visiting Pisa, Florence, Seville, Amsterdam, Cartagena, Mallorca, Gibraltar, Cadiz, Majorca, Jerez, Scotland, Wales, Whistler, Banff, Jasper, Cincinnati, Chicago, Vancouver and Vancouver island. It’s also done some adventurous stuff too including flying a plane, bungee jumping, climbing some mountains (snowdon, scar fell, Ben Nevis, mt. Garabaldi), and been on the longest zip wire in the world, as well as a marathon and a few obstacle race runs! I’m hoping that whichever child inherits these infuriatingly curly locks is able to add to the list of places and adventures and make some more wonderful memories of their own.
I haven’t set a target for this fundraiser, I was never going to make one but I’ve recently learned that it takes on average £700 to transform hair into a usable wig for someone living with cancer. It would be amazing if we could cover this cost together and do more to raise money for childhood cancer research. Xoxo
