Jack's Journey is a Special Named Fund at CCLG raising funds for research into Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH)

Story

I'm raising funds for Jack's Journey by running 3 marathons in 3 months in 3 different Countries. Having never ran a full marathon as of yet, could be quite the challenge but one i'm willing to push my body to its limits to succeed and raise as many funds as possible for CCLG and research into Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH).

My 2nd Cousin Jack was diagnosed with Cancer just days before his 1st birthday, a biopsy in 2021 confirming it to be Langerhans cell hystiocytosis (LCH). LCH is a cancer like tumor, which still requires the specialist treatment of oncologists, the tumour’s effects on tissues can be life-changing or life-limiting. It is a very rare condition and one of which only 50 children in the UK develop each year. Due to this, research is underfunded compared to other cancer research.

I will taking on my first Marathon in Luxembourg on the 20th May, Flying to Norway for my second in June and then doing my 3rd and final in Croatia in July. You can follow my journey, struggles and marathon times on my instagram @Matt_Redwood for eligibility.

Lets raise as much money as possible for this Amazing charity, everything helps, thankyou!
