So I've signed up for something a little bit silly and I need some help.

Starting on the 3rd of July, I will be embarking on the Monkey Run Mongolia. This is an unsupported journey nearly 1000km across the Mongolian Steppe on a wildly inadequate 49cc children's toy pretending to be a motorcycle.

Now signing up for this a month out from the start date and while I have already been travelling for a month and a half both leaves me very unprepared to start this adventure and also with a very short amount of time to raise the required £500 for the chosen charity of Cool Earth.

Cool Earth are an amazing charity doing incredible work across the globe, supporting indigenous communities to protect their rainforests, providing these communities with education, resources and alternatives to deforestation.

Globally, the world lost 18 football fields of mature rainforests every minute in 2024 (1), and deforestation accounts for 10-20% of global carbon emissions (2), matching emissions from transportation globally.

This is a trip that I am incredibly excited about but also genuinely nervous for - it's going to be a real adventure. Updates to come for how to follow along!
