Story

EDIT!! As most of you know this Event date was cancelled due to weather but I’m excited and a little nervous to Share I’m doing the Firewalk 🔥 on Feb 23rd 2024

And I’m hoping to hit £600 plus!!

Join me in making a difference and spreading warmth in memory of my wonderful nephew Callum and Stuart Jr. On 13th October, I am participating in a firewalk for Sunflowers suicide support.

Sunflowers is an organisation founded by individuals who have experienced the pain and trauma of losing a loved to suicide. Their mission is to provide support who those are bereaved or affected by suicide.

Having personally witnessed the aftermath of such devastating losses, I recognise the importance of support. Sunflowers relies on our contributions to continue their incredible work. Even a small donation of £1 can make a significant impact.

Rest assured, every donated will go directly to Sunflowers. I sincerely hope to see you all on the night when my colleagues and I embark on this challenge.

Thank you for helping me support Sunflowers and for being a part of this heartwarming and foot warming endeavour.

About the campaign

Walk over hot coals for Sunflowers. This is perfect for anyone looking for a mental challenge. With training and guidance you can conquer the coals & prove that some things really are mind over matter.

About the charity

Sunflowers was created in memory of Pete Morris who died by suicide in 2016. His family developed the Charity to walk alongside others bereaved by suicide and to be a small ray of light in the darkness; offering others comfort and support that is so desperately needed at such a difficult time. Sunflowers endeavour to provide other families with practical and professional support so they do not feel overwhelmed and alone. This we hope will give a glimmer of hope for the future. Sunflowers also raise awareness around mental health and suicide both on social media and by networking locally and nationally. We deliver accredited training to the wider community and presentations sharing our story. We highlight that it is Okay to not be ‘Okay’ and the importance of talking and of course listening. We feel that everyone can play a small part in connecting with and helping others to feel less alone.
