Story
11th April 2024 - Rustington Sports and Social Club
In 2017 cancer ended my Mum’s life. She was the life and soul of so many lives, get-togethers, celebrations and even just everyday life. I have tried my best to keep my chin up even through the darkest of times and couldn’t thank my friends and family enough for their love and support. I have done a few fundraisers in the time since loosing mum and can personally testify to how important I think Macmillan are as a charity in our society. They helped Mum in her last few days and were even on hand to help me after her passing. So this year I am again asking you to dig as deep into your pockets as you are able to help me and some friends raise some money for this fantastic charity.
On Thursday 11th April 2024 (Mums 64th Birthday) myself and some friends will be completing a 12 hour dartathon at the Rustington Sports and Social Club, affectionately know as the Rusty to many. Although darts wasn’t Mum’s greatest skill, she did enjoy the banter and giggles that we all used to share, in truth I think she enjoyed the Bacardi and Diet Cokes more. So when we saw this challenge that Macmillan had set we knew we had to have a go.
Thanks for supporting my fundraising. Macmillan gives people with cancer everything they’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are Macmillan’s worries. Macmillan’s doing whatever it takes. But without your help, Macmillan can’t support everyone who needs them.
