Story
This September Insightful Environments will be walking 19 miles for SRUK to raise money for the 19,000 people living with Scleroderma in the UK.
Some of you will know that we lost our friend and colleague Danielle Turner to Scleroderma in 2023. So, we want to continue raising funds in her memory to help other people just like her who depend on SRUK for support in living with this disease. They also improve awareness and understanding of these conditions, funding ground-breaking research with the aim of ultimately, finding a cure.
Once again, this year, Insightful Environments has kindly committed to fund-match all the monies raised by the IE team up to £10,000 so your donated amounts will be doubled!
For those that don’t know, Scleroderma is a rare, chronic, autoimmune condition, meaning that the immune system becomes overactive and attacks healthy tissue within the body. Raynaud's causes the small blood vessels in the hands, feet, fingers, or toes to be over-sensitive to even the slightest changes in temperature, cold conditions and sometimes emotional stress.
The IE team will be walking 19 miles for SRUK in September, some will do all 19 in one go on the 26th September, others will spread the distance over multiple days, but all will be trying to raise as much as possible for this great cause.
If you would like to join in on the walk with IE and help raise some cash, please contact david.revis@ie-uk.com.
Thank you for your support!
