Story
Hi all,
I'm looking for your support for an incredible Celtic FC Foundation initiative which is taking place early next month.
I am privileged to be part of the group of volunteers who will spend eight days in Malawi in early June, during which we will provide practical support on the ground, working in partnership with Classrooms for Malawi (CFM), a Scottish-based charitable organisation, whose mission is to alleviate poverty through education. They improve places of education throughout Malawi, so that children can go to school in safe, dynamic learning environments.
Celtic FC Foundation will support CFM, as they conduct the construction of a new two-classroom block at Masalani Community Day Secondary School in the Chiradzulu district, in the southern region of Malawi.
This new classroom block will be constructed by CFM in time for our arrival in Malawi, and our placement will involve painting the new areas and adding teaching aids to greater enhance the learning environment for the children.
As a volunteer, I have personally covered all the costs associated with me making the trip and whilst I am looking for your support to raise funds to allow Celtic FC Foundation to continue its incredible work here, I do want to provide something in return.
In recent months, I have produced a number of articles, biographies, slideshows etc. relating to Celts or events of the past, often for the families of those players or officials or in my work with the Celtic FC Foundation Supporters' Committee.
These seem to go down well so my offer is this...
If you (or your local supporters club) would like to donate in support of this initiative, then let me know what I can do in return. Perhaps there is a great Celt who hails from your neck of the woods, or you have a family member who spent time at the club. Whatever. Just reach out to me on here or on my social media platforms (@Boola_vogue) and we'll see what we can come up with. The donation amount will be up to you in any case. Just what you can and are happy to pay.
Something for something.
And of course if you would prefer simply to donate, then that would be wonderful.
Thanks and kind regards,
Matt
