Story
🚣 Another year, another challenge!
This is a photo of me and my good friend Matt having just completed our first David Goggins challenge.
We ran 5km every 4 hours for 48hrs. That’s 60km across 12 runs.
Torture during the challenge, but I would lie if I said that it didn’t feel good after!
Not just because we completed a tough challenge but also because we raised money for a good cause. We raised £2,450 for Room to Read to improve childhood literacy rates
We're now back at it again and aiming to complete a half marathon row. That's 21.1KM on an indoor rowing machine and we will do it in under 2hrs. For every 1 minute we go over 2hrs, there is a 10 burpee penalty.
There we go. That’s evil and tough! Hopefully worthy of being called a David Goggins Challenge. He’s the man who inspired this initial challenge tradition.
So on Sunday 23rd April, Matt and I will take on this challenge and this time we will be raising money for Breast Cancer research.
This is a cause that’s become very important in the last year, as it has hit us really close to home and impacted loved ones around us.
We’re going through hell in honour of Breast Cancer UK, and we would love it if you could support us and donate below.
Thank you!
More on Breast Cancer UK's Impact
Breast Cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. Over 55,000 women and 390 men a year are diagnosed with breast cancer. Yet around a third of these cases are preventable.
Breast Cancer UK is working to prevent breast cancer through education, scientific research, collaboration and policy change.
Breast Cancer UK provides practical advice and tips on how we can reduce our risk. They campaign for changes to national health policies to support prevention, and fund research to help improve our understanding of how to stop the disease.
