Story
Bob Baines, my dad, passed away peacefully whilst in the care of St. Kentigern Hospice. They provided a sanctuary of peace and respite when we needed it most, and I will forever be thankful for the compassionate and attentive care they gave to Dad.
St. Kentigern Hospice is a charity that provides palliative care and familial support. Their support has been invaluable to us as a family. Therefore in thanks, I will be completing a fundraising walk of 134 miles along the Pilgrims Way across North Wales. I hope to raise £12 for each mile I walk along the trek, for a total of £1,608. Please can you help support the work of St Kents through donnating in Memory of Bob.
The Pilgrims’ Way spans 134 miles of paths across North Wales. Beginning in Holywell, the trail winds through the Clwydian AONB, before crossing the Conwy Valley, then into Snowdonia before finally culminating at the very tip of the Llŷn Peninsula. This endpoint in Aberdaron holds special significance for me, as it was the last place me and dad went adventuring together—a fitting destination for this trek!
I will Begin on the 04/07/24 in Holywell, setting a pace of 10 miles a day. To finally end on the 17/07/24, with a potential visit to Bardsey Island!
