As conditions rapidly deteriorate amid this latest escalation, Islamic Relief remains steadfast in our determination to assist Palestinian families.

Since October 2023, we have provided over £30 million worth of aid and delivered over 58 million hot meals.

This Ramadan, Islamic Relief is supporting a Maternity project in As Sahaba Hospital in Gaza City and Khair Hospital in Khan Younis. This project aims to provide birthing services for pregnant women (caesarean or natural birth) for £500 per woman.It also supports pregnant mothers with providing maternal care, including birthing services, postnatal medical kids, and hygiene kits at the both hospitasl in Gaza City.

The Quran repeatedly emphasises the struggles of mothers, particularly during childbirth. Allah ﷻ says in the Quran: "And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years…" (Quran 31:14).

So, As Sadaqah for our blessed mothers who are with us or returned back to our beloved creator, please support my daughters in this rewarding project to help our new mothers in Gaza City and Khan Younis and reap the rewards of helping these protectors of the Blessed Lands, in Ramadan and during their honourable time of becoming mothers. You can’t fathom the level of rewards subhan’Allah.

This project aims to provide birthing services for 20 pregnant and breastfeeding mothers at £500 per month.
