Story
Hospice of the Good Shepherd supports patients in Chester, Cheshire West, Ellesmere Port and Deeside who are facing a life-limiting illness.
The Hospice's dedicated team of staff and healthcare professionals aim to meet the unique physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of those with a life-limiting illness, and help to maintain their dignity.
Stu's mum worked as a nurse at the Hospice from ~1998-2009, and Mary's mum has volunteered there since retirement.
The Hospice of the Good Shepherd provides its services free of charge to its patients and costs £5.2million to run each year with just 17% of the funding received coming from statutory sources. The remaining 83% is raised from a range of fundraising events, such as Foamtastic Colour Blast, with the support of the generous local community in Cheshire.
The Thomases will be taking part in 2025 - if you are able to support the Hospice please consider donating to a very worthwhile cause.
