I'm walking a marathon in July to support the valuable work done by PMRGCAuk. This charity has helped me so much when I wasn’t getting the help and support I desperately needed. I have both these nasty auto immune diseases and I’d never even heard of them!

This will take quite some effort for me, but it’s the least I can do to try to help those who have helped me. I’ve done Race for Life several times so hopefully I can manage this!

They are the only UK charity dedicated to PMR (PolyMyalgiaRheumatica) and GCA (Giant Cell Arteritis or Temporal Arteritis). They provide information, support and reassurance to people with either of these conditions and help to raise awareness in the medical world and in the general population so that people can get a speedier diagnosis if they have either of the conditions.

Both conditions can be life changing. GCA is the leading medical cause of sudden onset blindness. Getting a prompt diagnosis and treatment is vital.

With your help, they can achieve more and support more people.
