Story
Friend you may know that since I retired from teaching I volunteer 2 days a week at a local Acorns Charity shop and I’ve been so moved by the amazing work Acorns does to support families in their most challenging days/weeks in their life as they often prepare to say goodbye to their beloved child. Unfortunately too many of us know family or friends who have had to do this. Acorns Charity is dependent of people’s generosity to keep their hospices open offering this amazing service.
Please see if you have a spare giver to motivate me and help me believe in myself to complete this challenge.
I'll be trekking the Sahara Desert in October 2025 in aid of Acorns Children's Hospice.
This huge challenge across the vast and diverse landscape of the Morroccan Sahara will see the team trek 50km across ancient dried-up riverbeds, sand dunes and vast sun-baked plains. To add to the challenge, we'll be camping each night before returning to Marrakech and spending two days volunteering at a community project.
Please support my challenge by donating to my page and helping to raise funds for local life limited and life threatened children, and their families.
