Story
To create a child centred service which offers a pathway of support for bereaved children, young people and their families.
To provide support for those young people facing the death of a loved one.
We are a group of ladies from the Dorset area who have signed up to swim the English Channel in 2024 against the odds, we have all overcome or are going to overcome some huge health concerns and we will fight on. Mental health, paragliding accidents with airlifting rescue, cancer, sepsis and other things and we still smile, we are survivors so join us on our journey of adventure and share the smiles in the crazy moments - even if it’s just me with my hands stuck under my swim cap or one of us wandering off our swim line and heading off out to sea, let us keep you smiling too! We aim to do many exciting swim challenges along the way and have lots of training in various places around our coast. We will be seeking business sponsors in exchange for advertising to cover some of the expenses and also personal sponsors to raise money for some very worthy causes close to our hearts. This is an epic challenge, please follow our journey and help support us along the way xx
The 5 awesome charities we aim to support
The Blunt Truth - in Charley Bates memory, ran by Avon and Somerset Police and Great Western Air Ambulance charity. Educating young people about knife crime, the reality of the act and how to administer stab first aid to save a victim.
RNLI to help support our local guys and gals who do the tremendous work they do
Axminster and Lyme Regis Cancer support who have been an amazing support to locals, providing a valuable service when it’s needed most.
Mosaic - a charity in Dorset who support children that are bereaved. A truly exceptional charity who do such amazing work, helping young lives find their balance again.
James place - They offer free, lifesaving treatment to men in suicidal crisis. They have centres in London, Liverpool and Newcastle but I would love to see them countrywide.
