Story

Myself, along with friends will be raising funds for Cornwall hospice care to enable their continued support in the community and to honour the memory of my late wife Michelle.

We will be undertaking a series of challenges, spearheaded by the St Mawes castle to Mont st Micheal cycle to raise funds.

Our goal is to raise funds to enable the team at Cornwall Hospice care to continue offering their patients and family of those in care the support and treatment they need. This is of particular importance to me as they looked after Michelle at the start and end of her time in hospice and continue to help me now. We also hope to create a fitting reminder of Michelle’s life and form a lasting legacy.

Cornwall hospice cares mission statement:

“Our aim is for all people living with a terminal illness in Cornwall to be able to access the care & support they may need at the time & in the place that is right for them & their families.

We aspire to deliver the highest possible quality care & support to our patients & their families. We strive to develop & secure the resources necessary to achieve this, both now & in the future. With only 20% of our funding coming from Cornwall's NHS Commissioners, the rest is raised with the support of the people of Cornwall and beyond - thank you all”.
