Story
On August 25th of this year, it will be eight years since my life-changing building accident. That day, Yorkshire Air Ambulance arrived within the hour to fly me to hospital for emergency surgery. If it hadn’t been for this outstanding medical service providing such a rapid response, my life may have been far worse. After spending six months in a spinal rehabilitation unit, I began living life independently, but just in a different way!
After seven years of intense physiotherapy, the time has come to give back to this worthwhile charity – which continues to save lives on a daily basis.
My cousin and I have decided to complete our own triathlon in support of Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Stephen will be completing a 6-mile run, 15-mile cycle, finishing with a 750-metre swim. I will be completing a 100-metre walk (in callipers), 15-mile hand cycle, finishing with a 500-metre swim.
Stephen and I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit our ‘just giving’ page.
