Story
My twin boys Charlie and Zach were born 8 weeks premature, and without the care and support of Hull Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), they wouldn't be here with us today.
I'm Martyn Pace, personal trainer, owner of Set The Pace Health and Fitness, and father of 3, and on Friday 8th December I am going to be completing 24 hours of the worlds most hated exercise...burpees. In an attempt to break the official Guinness World Record for the most chest to floor burpees completed in 24 hours, which currently stands at 9,119.
All in aid of raising over £10,000 for the Baby Unit Fund, which supports the care of new-born infants, their parents and families and the health care staff on the NICU ward at Hull Royal Infirmary.
This is a charity that is extremely close to mine and my families hearts, as our twins Charlie and Zach had to spend the first few weeks of their lives in Hull NICU due to growth, feeding and breathing problems.
Hull NICU is a vital health service that helps thousands of babies and families just like mine, every single year. And if it wasn't for the amazing life saving care that they provided, Charlie and Zach wouldn't be with us here today.
So please give generously and donate what you can, to help ensure they can continue to provide such amazing care for future generations to come.
Thank you
