Story
You can contribute to the £1 million required to buy and protect this new pastoral landscape by sponsoring me to record and release a piece of music inspired by Martlesham Wilds. If I hit my initial target of £100 I will add a stretch goal of £200 and for every £100 I will add another instrument to the arrangement.
Sitting within the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and across the river from the burial site of Anglo Saxon Royalty at Sutton Hoo, sits a landscape rich in nature and brimming with history.
An organic farm for many years, the land is already home to a wonderful array of plants, animals and invertebrates but under Suffolk Wildlife Trust's stewardship the patchwork of hedge-lined fields that roll gently down to the river will gradually wild into an intricate mosaic of natural habitats, maintained by grazing.
