Having had such great support for cycling the Camino Way last year, I thought I would set myself an even bigger challenge this year of cycling the length of Britain from Lands End to John O’Groats, to raise funds to support the amazing work of FitzRoy.

FitzRoy transforms lives every day by people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health, to do the simple things that make a real difference to their everyday life. Your donation can make a real difference whether that be - in the purchase of an iPad that can help someone who is non-verbal communicate their needs to others and to connect with their loved ones; to help fund a sensory garden that can provide a calming outdoor space; to help purchase a Google Alexa that can empower somebody who physically disabled to turn light switches and televisions on and off as and when they desire. Simple things that give people more control over their own lives.

Starting at Lands End on the 16th April, this will be a physically very demanding challenge requiring me to cycle an average of around 67 miles a day to cover the total distance of a thousand miles, over 15 days. The route will take me through some of our this island’s most stunning countryside with many challenging climbs along the way.

So, whatever you are able to give will keep me going through the ups and downs of this journey. Thank you for all your support.
