Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have decided to take part in a white collar boxing event to raise money for a charity close to my heart, as many people already know my niece Pippa has a type of dwarfism (Hypochondroplasia) which comes with many difficulties she will face throughout her life. This has been caused (in Pippa's case) by a random genetic mutation. This can happen to anyone and there is one in 40,000-50,000 children born with a type of dwarfism and over 200 different types of dwarfism.

The charity I have chosen is the DSA (Dwarf Sports Association), this organisation holds regular sporting events all over the UK and makes them specifically accessible for individuals (and their families) with a type or short stature.

Their aim is to create a more inclusive and accessible environment for children to play various sports with others of similar abilities as them and also to try to promote inclusion within the wider community; Also to raise awareness around conditions that cause short stature and other ‘disabilities’ that are often overlooked by the wider society.

Please give anything you can to support this great cause and help to create a more inclusive society for our children and future generations to grow up in and it will also be fun for you see me getting beats for Charity haha!!
