Walking the South West Coast Path as a through walk. 630 miles.

#TeamAorta - helping save lives by funding advances in aortic dissection patient care through research.

Story

2000 people per year lose their lives from aortic dissection in the UK.

The Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust is the UK and Ireland charity uniting patients, families and the medical community in a shared goal of improving diagnosis, increasing survival and reducing disability due to aortic dissection.

We were lucky! Martin experienced an aortic dissection in March 2020 whilst out running, and without an observant consultant and incredible surgery would not be here today. Not everyone is as lucky as us.

Always active and looking for a challenge, Martin and Fiona plan to walk the whole length of the South West Coast Path this autumn - 630 miles long and the equivalent of climbing Everest nearly 4 times.

We want to raise a shed load! If you can help us we would be so chuffed.
