Story
As most of you know I am currently undergoing breast cancer treatment for the second time in my life. The first time was ten years ago and during that time I also lost my Mum to pancreatic cancer.
This time round I have been treated by the incredible staff at RUH Bath and they could not have been more helpful, caring, supportive, uplifting, skilled and thoroughly professional. The staff and carers there from the Macmillan nurses, to the admin staff, the reception staff, the surgeons, nurses, consultants, people in the shop, pharmacists, cleaners, absolutely everyone has helped me whether it be from the incredible skills of the surgeons to the high standards, kind words and humour of the cleaning staff. Every person has been making my journey so much more bearable, and made me feel safe, supported strong and positive. They provide exceptional care in difficult circumstances, and truly want to make every single patient feel heard and do everything in their power to make their time there as smooth and as comfortable as possible.
'RUHX (formerly The Forever Friends Appeal) is the official NHS charity of the Royal United Hospitals Bath. We’re here to make our place healthier, happier and stronger for the future. And we do that by supporting the extra extraordinary work that leads to exceptional care for everyone.'
I along with my incredible buddy Beth Sanders will be taking an icy plunge into the beautiful South Cerney Outdoor lake in the Cotswolds on the 2nd December
Please spare anything if you can to keep them being the best they can be and helping people in their time of need.
Thank you so much in advance for any pennies you can spare, it is so appreciated.
Thinking of dressing as an Elf or some such frippery, no flippin' wet suit for me, doing it proper!!!!! 😁🎉🏊♀️💕
