Story

London Marathon '24 did not disappoint. I honestly LOVED every single moment ❤️ Marly was a super star and I hope he will wear that medal with enormous pride 🥇Thank you for everyone’s very generous donations and support, we raised over £3,000 for British Blind Sport x

Eeek!!! Marly and I are running the London Marathon on Sunday 21st April. Marly suffers with macular disease and is visually impaired. Macular disease is the biggest cause of sight loss in the UK and there is still no cure.

Together we are raising money for British Blind Sport which is the only national sports and physical activity charity exclusively for people with sight loss.

Marly and I have been running together for 18 months and it is wonderful to hear from him how running has changed his life. It has given Marly back his confidence and independence, and his strength and balance have improved enormously. As we all know exercise is wonderful for our all round physical and mental health. I think it is fair to say that running has absolutely transformed Marly's life.

British Blind Sport have supported me as a guide and it is their mission to achieve equal opportunities for all people with sight loss in sport and physical activity. We feel very pleased to fundraise for British Blind Sport and are excited and nervous about running 26.2 miles !!
