How my husband, Mark, a devoted son and amazing Daddy to our 3 Fletchlets, just didn't come home that day, will always challenge our hearts and heads.

Our lives have been changed forever, yet because of him, our lives were changed for the better, as were the lives of all his friends and colleagues.

Mark was a gentle spirit that knew no end. He thrived on life, learning and doing and his sense of adventure and fun shone through like the burst of morning sunshine and always stayed until sunset. His 'legendary' motivation, energy and persuasion would come forth with ease and his calm kind nature would bring out the best in us. Believing in others before they often would themselves, he was an anchor for so many of us and his ability to CREATE, LEARN and GROW lives on in us all.

So we have decided to collectively remember Mark, a pillar in our community, by completing an event that will see many groups of friends and families of that rich and varied community run 'MARK'S MARATHON' together. Individuals from his incredible and supportive family and close friends, Verwood concert brass band, City Fibre, his amazing children's friends and family alongside Sebs coaches and teammates at Highcliffe Hawks and Lymington Academy, come together to complete one marathon together, whilst collectively covering many marathons. Let's take the challenge and grow it!

Losing Mark has left a hole in our lives and we have decided to do 'togetherness' whilst raising money for Mosaic - a charity that supports bereaved children through the hardest time in their lives and the British Heart foundation to continue the ongoing research to understand why?
